Featured Replies

Hi all,

Anyone here please give me an advise and details how to get Settlement visa to Sweden? :o

Im a thai lady and now in Swden with my english BF on tourist visa and will return home Bkk next month. My BF he's lives and work here for 5 years now and we been talking that's good for us if me can come and live here with him in Sweden!!

So would anyone please tell me what the best way to do and how to apply for Settlment visa? What papers or evidence we need to show the embassy when we apply for the visa? How long its take for visa issue?

Thanks you very much for your time.

Latt

ps,we're plan to get married sometime in February next year or maybe after that! :D

Latt,

As your boyfriend is British and is working in Sweden, he has certain rights under European law and these are extended to his immediate dependants, too. So, if you were married, you could apply for a free settlement visa for Sweden under European law. Also, if you have been living together for a long time, it might be possible for you to get the same visa without having to marry, but that would depend upon how long you've actually been living together and whether the Swedish authorities recognise unmarried partnerships.

Scouse.
