I just phone up my local shop. Give them my order and pay COD.

No internet involved. Sorted.

Yes why must you order off the net.

It reminds me when the American's spent millions of Dollars trying to develop a pen the astronauts could write with while laying on their back..And someone suggested that a simple lead pencil would do the task.

. Order by phone, order over the internet two completely different but the end result the same.

The local retailers do not sell beers, wines & spirits for those with a more discerning taste. They can only be bought from Online Specialists. Who in their right mind would drink Hong Tong when they can get a bottle of 25 year old Scotch Online. This ruling beggars belief & stifles competition. Then to blame this scenario upon underage drinking, When they can buy Lao Khao from the local supplier for 25bhat a bottle. Somebody very high up, is <deleted> off for not getting a brown envelope.

I agree the law is stupid but it is driven by stupidity alone.  Craft beer suppliers are no threat to the big boys.  The big boys have much more to lose by the ban than gain from it - how many pallets of beer do you think Tops, Tesco, Big C sell online each week?  A huge amount!  This ban hurts them too.

You think Wishbeer is a threat to Singha so Singha had this done?  Think about it for a moment instead of being hysterical.  Wishbeer can adapt to a different model and keep selling their expensive pretentious rubbish, they'll adapt.

And imported wines are the enemy of what, local Thai wines?  Don't be ridiculous.

So many people are so quick to see a conspiracy even when the conspiracy makes no sense.  This is simply a stupid decision made by stupid people, just like banning booze on trains, or banning booze between 2-5pm.

Thai wine.I suggest you try a a bottle of MONT Clair .Bin 5 Red.Reserve.

And there shocked by the low number of tourists coming .

Apparently there's a rumour that there's a virus going around that close to a million people have died from.  I heard it has shut down international travel completely and someone even said Thailand isn't letting tourists in!  Crazy!  If that was true maybe it might explain the low numbers of tourists . What do you think?

Or do you think the numbers of tourists have dropped off because they've just announced a ban on online alcohol sales that will come in to effect in 90 days and as tourists like their online alcohol sales they are not coming?  And they have stopped coming in anticipation of the ban?  Yeah, probably that.  Stupid government.

I only want one law chance! Sell beer in gas stations! If you sell that 30 meters away station you can sell that 7/11 in station also!

Is this a joke or what? Banning the sale of alcohol at gas stations is the one sensible booze law that exists in Thailand.

Why? Well, when you order online, you see their whole selection, there are no misunderstandings about what you ordered, you know that your address and phone number have been recorded correctly, there are no language difficulties, and you generally have the ability to pay by credit card, bank transfer, or PayPal without needing to have cash on hand. For me, I never order anything by phone if an online option is available.

Indeed. Phone ordering is inferior in every way. I've noticed Muricans have some sort of penchant for it. That and cheques. Quaint.

I'll use it when I run out of diesel for cleaning greasy car parts.
