I was asked this morning if you need to apply in ypur local Imm' office, lets say where you rent or whatever, and you have an embassy letter etc.

Or, can you apply at any office.

I don't know. I'm not in a tourist visa amnesty situation myself, so pointless asking me where I am.

The person phoned from pattaya.

He rents in BKK but is staying with a mate in Pattaya at the moment

The extension can normally be applied for at any office if you have a local address to put on the TM7 form and proof of that address.

Pattaya wants proof of residence when you apply and proof of 20 days stay after the day the application is done with a embassy letter.
