Prime Minister sued by former immigration chief over transfer to PM’s Office

Prayut-warn-mob-covid.jpg

Thailand’s Former Immigration Bureau Commissioner, Pol Lt-Gen Surachet Hakparn, lodged a complaint with the Central Administrative Court today, accusing Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha of abuse of power when ordering his transfer to an inactive post in the PM’s Office

.
Mr. Sitthi Ngarmlamyuang, Surachet’s lawyer, told the media today (Tuesday) that it has been one year and five months since the former immigration chief was transferred and yet no panel has been set up to investigate him.

Moreover, he said that the Prime Minister ordered Surachet’s transfer without an investigation by the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission or the Office of the Auditor-General.

  • Good for him. It's always nice when someone stands up against bullies.

Rather a shame 60 odd million cannot sue him for theft of a country ?

I doubt anything will come out of it. Khun Prayut will have all his ducks in a row on this.

Big Joke is a canny operator. That this complaint is being lodged now, one year and five months after the transfer, is an indication of just how tenuous insiders now regard Prayut's position to be.

Fingers crossed!

Khun Prayut Chan O Cha won't be bothered about this, imo ... as mentioned he will have all his cards in order and this will end up being a waste of time.

I am willing to agree with you on the point where nothing is going to come out of this. However, it´s hard to agree with your comment that he would have all his ducks in a row on this. Assuming that the accusation is right, and none of the authorities mentioned was assigned to investigate before or after he was removed from his duties. Is that not against lawful procedures? It might even be breaking both the law and the constitution as well as a big part of the Thai Labour Laws.

Would you please elaborate on that. I know that it´s going to be like dust hidden under the carpet, when they have come up with another excuse after another for the next two years. However, explain to me how you can be so sure that nothing has been done wrongfully in this case?

Well, the laws don’t apply to Prayut and his  gang. They’ve broken laws constantly and faced nothing more than public backlash. No wonder they hate democracy and wanna rule like the CCP.

Is this a big joke TIT

Why did he wait so long to file a case? Has he been compiling the evidence and needed to get others on his side

Instead of idolizing your fancy dress tinpot, speak to the complaint.  According to Big Joke there was NO due process.  A common theme with the junta you love so much.  Why was he given an inactive post?  Why is he not being investigated?  cha cha does not have any ducks in a row.  He just ducks hard questions and hides from debate.   He is a coward.

Not a fan of Big Joke, but he comes across more authentic and intelligent than cha cha.

I wonder why the 'MODERATORS' have not deleted this post.  It contains unconfirmed allegations against a person/persons who have it in their power to cause THAIVISA to be closed and the poster deported, if he/she actually resides in Thailand. Are the moderators associated with CNN or BBC and allow FAKE  NEWS to be displayed, whilst suppressing those who use the term 'L**t**d'.

Thank you for your attempts to cleanse the Thaivisa forum of any actual discussion or debate.

I cannot imagine what sort of twisted process an expat must go through in order to end up believing that people he disagrees with deserve to be deported. Clearly, however, having me deported would be easier for you than countering my facts with any sort of argument.

I would, however, point out that, as your post mentions moderation, it is in flagrant contravention of forum rules and should be deleted.

Not "he"........."they"

This comes on the heels of the criticism from the senator.

A faction has been waiting for the right time to move.

Prayuth hasn't reacted strongly enough (for some) to the demos, so the knives are out.

Frightening!

I had not considered that the pressure was coming from that side, but you make absolute sense.

I would imagine that the chap upstairs is not terribly happy these days.

Maybe so, but who has the loaded gun? Plus ducks in a row are an easy target.
