You cannot handle the truth and you have more spin than Shane Warne. Time for a reality check rookie. And the Prime Minister told you as well yet you still voted for Brexit. How embarrassing is it when the Remain campaign were telling you the facts but you decided to listen to fantasy? We have the reality check Vogie. Leave lied Remain told the truth. And yet you still believe in Brexit? Thats why we are heading for no deal Brexit. Which is what you voted for. 1

Yep. Rookiescot can hardly wait. He's literally hoping his own country fails so he can prove how smart he is. He'd rather the country failed than be proved wrong. I don't know what happened to him in the UK to make him hate it so much and wish failure on it but it's really sad. I can just see it now. A couple of traffic jams around the ports in early January and he'll be screaming "Is THIS what you voted for? Is it? Is it?" ???? An angry old Scottish nationalist banging his keyboard for weeks on end. It's going to be quite a show. Then he'll campaign for Scotland to leave the union with which it does the bulk of it's trade, exactly the thing he mocks Britain for doing. Then he'll be screaming for Scotland to get "independence" by joining the EU. You couldn't make it up . 2 1

luckyluke
Well it doesn't really hurt me, it's rather amusing. And they feel so good/important when they are told they are so exceptional. Similar to Thai ladies when been told they are " oh so beautiful "; they all believe it. Nevertheless I am conscious the U.K. was, at a certain moment in the past, something unsurpassed. In my opinion, except having a remarkable history, there is for the Britons actually nothing really to be proud of. They are not the only nation being so.

Jealousy is one very strong point in your posts. I don't consider to have a golden pension, but a normal one in Belgium. Belgium being in the middle of pensions dividends in Europe, I wonder how you will call the pensions which are on the top of the list. Of course everything is relative. The U.K. pensions being the lowest in Europe, everything above a pittance may be considered as "golden". I am certainly not jealous of not being British, well at least not yet, next year it may change if the quality of life of the man in the street would be superior of mine. But honestly I doubt it, if already now your previous and actual government don't seem to really care about the financial wellness of their elderly/veterans. And why should they, I never read that a Briton is complaining about the pension he receives. Most of us pensioners in Belgium don't complain either, despite we know there are several countries in Europe with higher and much higher pension dividends. I have to mention again the Belgian and other pensions, as a reaction, and only because you can not stop to consider it as exceptional, and have the need to mention, on and on, you think it is. 2
