It used to be open selling everything. But the last time I came through they were open but only selling things/toot that you would never want. Things might have changed in the last 10 months??? Hopefully you can get a post that's more recent.

I’m not sure if the duty free is open at the airport , however you are not permitted to take alcohol into your quarantine hotel . All luggage is checked and alcohol confiscated.

No chance. The shops at the airport are nearly all closed down. Put some alcohol in your suitcase out of sight, thats the only way.

Wait until you get to quarantine, tip one of the staff to buy you something locally.

The duty free at Bangkok is more expensive than buying at 7/11. Probably better to bribe your friendly staff at your quarantine prison to buy it for you when you arrive at your prison.

No need to bribe anyone as long as you're staying at a proper ASQ- hotel. You can order stuff and it will be delivered to your door. I have read posts about it. The quarantine is not supposed to be a prison sentence.

My luggage wasn't checked. Why would a returnee want to <deleted> off immigration by deliberatelly breaking one of the quarantine restrictions and potentially being caught out. I'm not sure why alcohol isn't allowed after a person has tested and found to be negative but thats the ruling. It's too hard to get into Thailand to risk being kicked out prematurely.

I was in quarantine a month ago and alcohol was permitted. You could order drinks from the bar to your room.

You could also have your wife drop stuff at the front desk and they would bring it up.

You could not order delivery.

It would not matter what is open at the airport, you're not going to be allowed to go anywhere but point to point, and you will be escorted.
