Fortunately we have your posting record to refer to.   The only ‘truth’ you’ll ever listen to is the constant stream of lies pouring out of the mouth of your your leader.

Let's see how long the "veracity" of this hit piece lasts.

You're sad.

I can't stand Trump... but The NYT and many other news agencies are doing all that they can to make him look worse than he is. Their motive? Well, we all know their selfish & political motives.

Righto. You obviously don't want roads with decent lighting, bridges to cross ravines and rivers.

Might as well disband the police and fire service too. Better start educating your kids at home (unless you are filthy rich). Throw away social security and let people starve. After all, if you're poor, it's your own fault anyway. Let the injured veterans take care of themselves.

Sounds like Tea-party heaven.

Oh.....just realised. Scrub the military vet. No military, no pesky veterans with their hands out.

Phew! That's a relief!

45 immediately called the NYT's article 'fake news', but he could easily prove that assertion by doing what every modern day POTUS has done and release his returns.  I'm willing to bet he won't.  Part of his image is that he is 'really really rich'. Unlikely he is. Required public financials from his int'l properties paint a poor picture of his business acumen. His six US bankruptcies corroborate that.

Because his org is a private company, he doesn't have to release financials as a listed public company does., at least in the US. That same allowance doesn't apply to most other countries, so he must release financials on his golf course in Ireland and Scotland, and properties in other countries. Every single one of his required int'l releases shows losses. One might opine that he doesn't run his US properties any better, and this is what the NYT's article implies.

Months ago I noted in a post some of this information, which I had come to know from sources in a certain international bank that has handled some of his financing. I suspect the NYT's source is this same bank. The NYT will be releasing more info over time as their reporters continue to uncover more data.

One has to understand the difference between net worth and cash flow. Someone who can borrow can appear wealthier than the net value of his assets say if cash flow is efficient to service borrowings.  All of what is available publicly (from int'l required filings) plus what the NYT is reporting do not indicate much or any actual profit, and certainly not much net worth. As 45's capital structure is additionally revealed and matched against the market value of his assets, it is highly likely it will show not billionaire status, but actually a negative net worth.  Absent the $412 million he inherited from his late father, plus what his niece says and bank records show was a staggering amount of 'allowance' his father gave him since the age of 3 until his father's passing (over $100 million) says 45 has exemplified that old adage: How to you make a small fortune?  Start with a large one.

His father was a successful businessman, and likely an actual billionaire. His father's name appears as a guarantor on all borrowings up until his father's death. That hardly says 'self-made'.  Six bankruptcies, however, and his losses evidenced in documents related to assets like Turnberry, do say 'self-made'.

live your life RICH.  it's the only way.

he got a 72 million dollar refund.

I just filed and should be back 100 billion because I own three planets

let the poor complain until they die.....while the rich enjoy life!!!!!!!

I can't write one more word because that will cost me 10k baht ..... being super rich is nice.  try it.

This just puts the truth out, and shows exactly how he is. How does this make him look worse than he is?

well, did he made the rules before that made all this possible ?

Making this guy look worse than he actually is? Damn near impossible task. I can't wait to see the never Trumpers' ad work with this info out.

Much information on the losses his company is making as well, plus details on the illegal reimbursements of 'a member of the family', matching ivanka's WH declarations. Also his personal being liable for debts expiring soon.

And Trump helped them do that as it helps Trump make more himself. USA is a shambles.

Funny how the USA is in shambles every 4 years right about election time according to the leftist media, and the uneducated masses gobble it up.

The rest of us are limping along with record stock market gains, record bonuses, record low interest rates.  Basically printing cash this year.   More shambles please..... ????

Does it matter? I presume that whatever tax he pays is legal. No different to many rich people/organisations who pay little/no tax cough Apple.

I do think it matters because (unfortunately) he's POTUS thus open to detailed scrutiny and should be setting up (good) examples, many people use him as a reference. The many rich people/organizations are not open to so much scrutiny as they are not POTUS, again, he is

he's taken obviously illegitimate deductions to justify not paying taxes.

Really?  There's some obvious evidence that you can specifically point to for that, is there?

And there is a difference between a private individual and a politician who is supposed to work for the people and who is paid from tax money

The biggest difference being that Trump works for the people and still donates his entire salary (minus $1) every year for that work.

...Trump is ... a terrible businessman. If it hadn't been for The Apprentice, he'd have been sunk long ago.

You must be one of his accountants or bankers to have that information, yes?   So how much confirmed, i.e. audited, money did he make from The Apprentice and how much (audited) did he lose on his other businesses?

I'd venture he makes up for that (and then some) just by charging government officials for staying on his properties. That's not including other parties, domestic and foreign, flocking there as well.

What kind of person defends someone like that?  Someone who has called his supporters "disgusting" and if you were in the military he has also called you a "loser" and a "sucker".  If you still support him them maybe he is right.

Nonsense.  All of what you suggest he said has been debunked as being untrue.
