Thailand 6 months / Uk 6 month with 4 yr old

Featured Replies

Hi , looking like i might have to spend 6 months in the Uk and 6 months in Thailand.

This is fine except i have a 4 yr old in Kinderdarden . Has anybody got any experience how my son can study 6 mths in Uk and 6 mths in the Uk ?

thanks

You may technically struggle with that plan especially when the Kid moves into primary school, they do not like you having the kid out of School in term time. Also for NHS entitlement absences from the UK of less than 3 months are ignored for residency, then you have to read through to ensure you remain resident.

I used to take slight extensions on School Holidays from primary, the Head teacher was well traveled, and she said the Daughter would learn more on these trips then the few days she would miss behind a desk. Then they started the inflexibility rules in the final year. Perhaps doing the change over of location at term breaks would work?? ( under non-SARS conditions anyway. )
