How do I prove the balance of 500,000 baht in six months?

I am living in Korea. I have 500,000baht now. But,I have no account balance of 500,000 baht in six months.

To apply for a tourist visa, I need a certificate of 500,000 baht maintained for six months.

However, there is no way to prove the balance for six months in Korea. It is too absurd to prove 500,000 baht to stay in Thailand for about 60 days.

How do you think I use 500,000 baht in Thailand for two months?

It's crazy.

Do you mean you have had 500k baht in a bank for 6 months but cannot prove it in Korea?

All you need is a bank statement from any bank or banks to prove the 500k baht.

You're making a common mistake, this rule it not there to help you come to Thailand, it's to discourage you from coming to Thailand.

uh.... yes :(

Old statements are asked because some would just borrow the money and transfer back after visa is issued.

I think so too

The bank says that there is no certificate that can prove the balance for 6 months, and there is a certificate that can only prove the balance of the current deposit

Are you trying to say Korean banks do not provide statements going back X-amount of months...like 6 months...like 12 months?  If so, I'm not believing that for one second.

you could try providing copies of your last six bank statements showing a balance of 500k baht (or equivalent in foreign currency) or more.

I believe it is the Thai government's desire to have "quality" tourists, whether they spend 500K or not.

Very easily, in my own experience.  That's only THB 8333/day, you'd have to stay in a few days to make it last that long.

You print out the statement on let's say the 30th September 2020, then again on 31st October, then again on 30th November and so on until you have 6 of them for succesive months.  Each will show the month end balance and probably any transactions throughout the month.  After 6 months you'll have your proof.
