No casualties or injuries were reported as of press time. Locals, including students from the nearby Preng Wisuttha Tipbodee School, were evacuated as firefighters arrived to control the blaze. PTT said it was collaborating with local rescue staff to aid victims of the blast. Residents living nearby fled as the explosion sparked a fire that spread quickly. Students and staff from the local Preng Wisuttha Tipbodee School were evacuated as firefighters arrived to control the blaze. Two elderly women were among the three victims killed by the blast, with 28 others sent to hospital with injuries. PTT said the cause of the explosion was being investigated, adding it would take responsibility for the damage to property and life. Officials from PTT Plc, which owns the pipeline, are at the scene, in Preng subdistrict, to discover the cause of the gas leak at a gas station. Meanwhile, officials from the Department of Pollution Control have been on site, to check for hazardous substances which may have been left at the scene of the explosion and which may threaten the health of people in the neighborhood. Therefore either the work permit, method statement or the risk assessment wasn’t adhered to somebody somehow caused this accident. What is a risk assessment, method statement and work permit in Thailand? Probably all "written" on small pieces of paper with a picture of someone important on.
