Thailand's tech police armed with a search warrant went to a storage facility in Soi Bang Sone, Bang Yai, Nonthaburi yesterday in an ongoing inquiry into the activities of an online gambling syndicate.

The search came after the arrest of a man called Thaenthai and four associates earlier this month.

He was allegedly running a host of gambling operations with turnover in the billions of baht.

Found at the facility were four luxury supercars worth a total of 110 million baht.

There was a Lamborghini Aventador (50 million), a McLaren 720S (30 million), an Audi R8 V10 Coupe (18 million) and a 12 million baht Nissan GTR 50th Anniversary.

Manageress Ms Phinthip, 29, said she rented to a man called Bunlert who paid 27,000 baht/month for a year. He seemed legitimate, she said, and didn't quibble over the cost.  Her responsibility was just to change the padlock.

Police said that a well known actor who is under investigation aided in the storage of the vehicles. This man is a close associate of Thaenthai.

Investigations of other assets and the flow of money continue.

The cars were taken for storage at the Central Forensics Division in downtown Bangkok.
