Other news agencies are reporting the knife-wielding attacker shouting “Allahu Akbar” (God is Greatest).

A man armed with a long knife was arrested in the south-eastern French city of Lyon on Thursday (Oct 29) as he was about to board a tram, a source close to the inquiry told AFP. The suspect, an Afghan national in his 20s who was dressed in traditional Afghan clothes, had already been flagged to French intelligence services, the source said.

"He was carrying a 30cm knife and seemed ready to take action,

There is only one way to stop this behavior, and that is to make the result more severe than the initial crime. Every time it happens, deport 100 Muslim immigrants back to where they came from. Just round them up in arbitrary fashion and ship them out. Show them who is really running the country.

Which governments would accept forced deportation of innocent foreign nationals, or indeed of their own nationals -  it would be an act of government human rights abuse, close to the policies of extremists such as Nazism / Soviet communism. French government would be an international pariah.

For some Muslims; in any case for the French government to go down the suggested path of forced deportation of innocents would, IMO, be an act of gross stupidity.

this is "civilization."   Tell me time in our history where there wasn't a place where people were brutally murdered.  for all we know, N. Korea, Africa, China, Siberia, etc......has much worse stuff going on this very second.  OK, you can include America, Mexico, S. America, Central America, etc.....where is it really safe?

with 8 billion people or whatever and increasing, this stuff isn't going away anytime soon.  it's crazy, that's for sure, but relatively it might not be.  but it might start to get much crazier.....

Well, there are lots of beheadings in Mexico. But they've become if not commonplace at least unsurprising. So nobody is shocked much by them anymore. France will become the same. The only question is whether to vacation in Nice or Cuernavaca. At this point, I say Cuernavaca. They ratio of beheadings seems to be bit lower.

The ratio of REPORTED be-headings.  For all we know, 100 heads just got cut off in the jungles of Costa Rica or in the Congo somewhere.  Remember the guillotine????????

Nobody cares until it happens in some white, middle-class neighborhood.  Then the outrage!!!!!!

I lived in the desert of Afghanistan for 11 years as an undercover camel.  Oh, i've seen some bad things......

You're right,  at least 3 terror attacks in France within a month, committed by young Muslim men: 18 y.o Chechen refugee  , 21 y.o Tunisian illegal migrant, 25 y.o Pakistani smuggled into France posing as an isolated minor along with his brothers

Open your heart - I mean your eyes

Do French voters still have the opportunity to remedy their problem through elections? If so, why don't they?

Next Presidential elections:  May 2022

From now on till 2022,  significant quick changes in Laws are needed to allow significant responses, not cosmetic ones.

Not to mention that France is a Muslim country. The French ambassador to Sweden says so.

But why will they react differently from the first Hebdo massacre? That was in 2015 and as a result you got Emmanuel.

Macron isn't responsible for the decades long cowardice that lled to this situation.

Now that the breaking point has been reached, and too late, there will be no other choice, Turkey and other countries have released, to get rid of them and empty their prisons, detainees of all kinds, Islamists, criminals.. all potential migrants to Europe

I thought that the Bataclan was the breaking point. That's what everybody said at the time. But that breaking point just keeps bending.

Try Erdogan and Mahathir, they speak for millions of their followers

No they dont. Mahathir is about a hundred years old and his comments have been roundly condemned. I live in malaysia and his comments have not been well received.

Bataclan occured under left wing Presidency in France, and French left is the World's most stupid one. It has allowed Islamist entryism in Unions, State, Public services for electoral purposes.

French people lean right-wing for some time now and still were resisting bringing far-right wing to power - The candidate opposing Macron was'nt up to the job.
