Can you go muff diving with one of them on?

But without a mask and without any tracking device.

My heart rate might be a bit out of tune.

I think the point is missed.

It's not necessary that it work. PM Anutin has proposed a 10 day quarantine. In addition he specifically mentioned tracking and follow up. I'd gather this is the tracking. Again it's not necessary that it work. It is only necessary that it quell the domestic pushback from Thai nationals against letting anyone in.

If they want to put on a show, I'll make the popcorn.

My sole concern is the cost. Hell if they cut quarantine to 5 days I'll wear two of the damn things.

That's an interesting point.

Then, when eventually it's leaked out they don't work they can still blame the wearer for it somehow.

I'm sure A-nut-in here will come up with something bizarre - he hasn't failed before.

Please stop complaining or making fun of the Thai government as they try so hard to contain this very deadly disease, this pandemic. They just care about all of us.
According to the CDC, this is the actual Infection Fatality Ratio:

  • 0-19 years: 0.00003
  • 20-49 years: 0.0002
  • 50-69 years: 0.005
  • 70+ years: 0.054

Source: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/planning-scenarios.html

As I'm in the group "50-69", does this mean that 5 out 100,000 people in this segment are going to die from this super lethal disease?

I really hope, this high number - 5 - is a massive exaggeration! I'm seriously scared now.

In mentally terrible situations like this, it always helps me a lot if I go and I sit on my scooter for a little ride to relax.

Another completely missing the point about coronavirus.

Health authorities are not worried about the death rate, although that gets most attention.

It's the sheer contagiousness of coronavirus, coupled with the long-term damage to the lungs in younger people, that has them concerned. How would you like your lung capacity reduced by 60% in the space of a week? It takes years of smoking to do that.

Certainly, it can be cured. Trump is proof of that. But how many people could afford the world-class treatment he got?

Go out on your scooter, and take a deep breath. Be thankful you can still do so.

Would be interesting to know which family is going to supply these gadgets

Muff diving should be fine but fisting may cause a few problems, especially if the device becomes detached.....

7/11

Exclusively for Ai Farang as Thai's don't need them as their amulets will keep them safe.

There will be a special school set up by TAT.

A 2 weeks curse, called:

how to use both hands. Work your muscles.

But you could tell when Ovulation was nearing and plan for the pregnancy that way if you dared....

It still amazes me that the government's attitude is still that Thailand is the ONLY place to take a holiday and therefore, all those tourists anxiously waiting to take a holiday there will jump through every hoop put in front of them without complaint.

It might work quite well if they're full of flaws:

Can you imagine the number of bureaucrats, police, etc who will end up on thousand of wild goose chases?

After realising they are unreliable and costing time to chase false alarms, they'll be quietly withdrawn to avoid losing face.

Reminds me of the GT200 bomb detector.

And it'll work very well for those who cash in on the garbage.

We'll have to 'watch' the news to find out.

Even if i didnt mind to jump all the hoops, what's great about thailand now? Pattaya is closed, you need mouthmasks everywhere and you're farang so be double carefull....

Even the beach is closed, you can't smoke there, pools are closed, samui is empty.....

Why would a tourist go to thailand right now?

Ermm! Sunshine and warmth ring a bell, plus go to the beach and pools that have been open for a long time now,but that news seems to have bypassed your cave.

Then no doubt they'll be able to tell what the 'recipient' had for breakfast.

just thinking back... I haven't worn a watch for 35 years

- because I kept smashing the glass whilst speaking flailing arm french through doorways...

and simply gave up on wearing them, when it used to cost $70 to replace and re-waterproof them

 - I wonder if you get held to ransom bringing a broken one back? (like a scratched rental motorbike)

Next week a special committee to decide on the new task centre.

250 generals in charge:

Task/

check every single movement of farang,

check his sugar levels,

check heart rate,

check temperature,

check any unusual behaviour,

check if they drink to much,

check if they hang around bars,

check if they are with much younger girls,

In case one of those above detected, arrest straight away.

Look out for eventual b... envelopes.

This might get problems to go away.

What happens if I go to Soi 6, or to a relaxing massage and they see my heartrate beating like a helicopter?

Just take off the watch and give to the girl to wear.

The over the top ideas that have seen Thailand virtually stop Covid infections you mean?

Looks like the bar girls and naughty massage places will have to wait longer for employment to be restored. What tourist is going to want to be pin-pointed while having a bonk?

Sorry, I forgot. Prostitution is illegal in Thailand, and does not exist anyway.

wait, does that mean I don't exist?

come to think of it, what is reality?
