I am actually surprised things like this don't happen more often. It is a depressing place. In my experience Quebec is one of the most vibrant places I've been to. Work would take me there 1-2 weeks a month. Two or three decades ago the economy was depressed but the last few years it's been going better than most of Canada. Your comments make me wonder if you have ever been to Chez Paree? 1

Plenty other good gogo bars than chez paree and if that is the staple by which you judge a place kinda sad standards. 1
