Nine people were killed, two missing and 91,686 households affected across the country during the flood crisis, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reported.

On Wednesday, it said Nakhon Ratchasima and Suphan Buri were two provinces still dealing with the disaster, while local governments were working hard trying to solve the problems.

The department, together with local governments, have evacuated people affected by floodwater and delivered aid packages to those in need.

There is a continued draining of floodwaters from residential areas. Damages to careers, livelihoods, residences, agriculture, livestock and infrastructure will be covered by the Finance Ministry.

The critical flood situation stemmed from a series of depressions that have hit Thailand since October 7, generating water runoff in 35 provinces – Chiang Mai, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, Sisaket, Buriram, Surin, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi, Chon Buri, Rayong, Uthai Thani, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Sawan, Chainat, Singburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Pathum Thani, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Surat Thani, Phang Nga, Krabi, Phuket, Trang, Satun and Songkhla.

People facing problems can still call hotline 1784 to receive help from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation.

Some are already full and the floodgates are wide open!

Don't look now but typhoon Goni is on its way too. Keep your umbrellas handy.

Out of control developing, under the table payments, corruption... oh wait, that’s just when it floods on Pattaya isn’t it? ????????‍♂️

Yeah a bag of rice and pack of water floated to your evacuation centre.

Still, soon be drought season when water will be rationed.
