Maybe I should have read the posts on here more regularly as I still thought that if a visa was granted it was done the same or next day. My GF has had a visa before, three years ago, but we now have a daughter as well and we are all supposed to be flying to England in two and a bit weeks time.

I hope the GF visa will be a near formality but my daughter was born prior to 1/7/2006 therefore is not eligible for British citizenship automatically. Cutting things a bit fine, we need to get her a Thai passport and then the pair of them visas.
