Nearly 80% of Americans say Biden won White House, ignoring Trump's refusal to concede: Reuters/Ipsos poll

While Biden gets ready to be President, Donald hides away and sulks. It appears that Donald has all but given up on any Presidential duties (although this may be a good thing).

Donald Trump refusing to work with Joe Biden’s team

Quote

Trump’s public schedule hasn’t included an intelligence briefing since October 1. The White House hasn’t provided a “readout” of any call between the president and a foreign leader in weeks. He has not met with members of the White House coronavirus task force in months.

If Donald doesn't want to do any work then he should be grateful that someone else is actually willing do it.

Maybe this will help you understand the Supreme Court issue:

Pennsylvania’s top election officer says just 10,000 ballots were received after Nov. 3

The number is far too small to undermine President-elect Joe Biden’s margin of victory in a critical battleground state.

Pennsylvania’s chief election officer announced on Tuesday that around 10,000 ballots were received between the close of polls on Election Day and the evening of Nov. 6 — a number far too small to undermine President-elect Joe Biden’s margin of victory in a critical battleground state.

The approximately 10,000 mail ballots are at the center of a case in front of the Supreme Court that President Donald Trump and his allies have pushed for, as they advance a broader strategy that’s less about actually making a cohesive legal argument than it is about undermining trust in the democratic process.

Continually having to respond to your bias nonsense is becoming tiresome. Pennsylvania has a long history of "voting issues" which goes back decades. The problem there is systemic. The fact that you automatically believe the word of the people who are being accused of fraud/interference/irregularities/illegality without taking into consideration any of the evidence/proof already (allegedly) collected by the Trump lawyers just highlights your confirmation bias. Please don't bother replying to this message because I will be ignoring you from here on.

When you can't win an election fair and square, you toss up enough dirt to delay certification so electors vote in your favor. Donald appears to be on the verge of attempting to steal the election and toss American democracy out the window in the process.

Republicans discuss extreme Electoral College play for Trump to cling to power

Quote

In this long-shot scenario, Trump and his team could try to block secretaries of state in contested states from certifying results. That could allow legislatures in those states to try to appoint new electors who favor Trump over Biden.

"It's basically hijacking the democracy," one lawyer familiar with the process tells Axios. "They've got nothing else; you'd be trying to deny Joe Biden 270."

British punters are betting millions on Donald Trump overturning the US election result, it emerged last night.

Betfair is now pricing his chances of a shock reversal at around 10/1 and are refusing to settle bets on President-elect Joe Biden.

Nearly £600 million has been wagered on the US election results on the London-based online exchange with over £100 million traded since election day.

And punters on US-based betting site Predictit are even more confident Trump will mount a successful legal challenge against Biden’s apparently clear triumph. Trump’s odds are priced at around 7/1 on the platform, down from 50/1 on election night.

Probably means that there are lots of fanatic Trump supporters willing to bet on his chances. Bookies are doing what they always do: protect themselves by lowering the potential payoff.

Don't know anything about betting, but to me this shows a different picture

Under the American system, the final vote for the next president takes place some time in December. That is when the Electoral College votes. Not every elector is legally bound to vote for the person they were chosen to vote for (called faithless electors, only 33 states plus the District of Columbia have laws against faithless electors) and there may be some stumbles between now and then. If Trump can convert some of the electors to himself (no one said they are trustworthy) by using the law and changing the vote count then having a minority of popular votes can sometimes win the election. Americans do not directly elect their president and there is no proportional representation. There have (if memory serves) been five presidents elected without winning the popular vote.

In two weeks, most of the states in dispute must certify the results....unless Trump's lawsuits (so far pretty much rejected) can prevent that via  court order...he's done before Thanksgiving. He needs to start focusing his legal team on keeping him out of jail and/or bankruptcy court in 2021. Let him have his fun....2 weeks and he's just another miserable old sod without an umbrella in the rain.

He won't need an umbrella in prison.

I wish that situation to drag on because then we would finally witness which police force has the power to arrest the president.

Senate's Sergeant at Arms ?

Secret Service ?

FBI ?

White House Police ?

Capitol Police ?

Supreme Court Police?

or will  it be a citizen's arrest (a bit unspectacular)

Trump was investigated for 4 years for the supposed Russia collusion, but now we can't spend a couple of months investigating fraud reports?

Expect an investigation of that investigation sometime soon.
