Hello,

When applying for an affirmation of marital status, can I provide my rental contract and/or utility bill as proof of address in Thailand?

Are appointments at the Embassy only available once per month?

The only documents that can be used as proof of address to marry in Thailand are a Tabian Baan or Pink ID Card. This is because to obtain these documents, your address has already been registered with an Amphur. If you do not have either of these documents, you should provide an address outside Thailand.  But if you do please note that this is not required when submitting your affirmation of marital status to the British Embassy.

We provide notarial appointments every Tuesday and Thursday at the moment. You can book a maximum of 60 days in advance. Where possible, we also release additional appointments on a regular basis for more last minute requests.
