Flash floods have inundated residential areas in the Sadao district of Songkhla province on Sunday due to heavy rain the previous day.

About 400 households were affected by the flood, which hit the area at 2am, and agricultural zones also were damaged by the disaster.

Local officials are helping affected people and warning residents in other villages to prepare for water overflowing from the river.

The situation is expected to improve on Sunday if there are no more rains.
