BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) said it is necessary to wait for the results of the investigation into the new COVID-19 case in Singburi, because the current information is not clear.

Dr. Sophon Iamsirithaworn, Director of the Communicable Diseases Division, said the new COVID-19 case, which is a 51-year-old Singburi woman, has not been reported to the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) as it is still under investigation. If the information provided is accurate, this will be considered a case of local infection. However, it is necessary to wait for the clear results of the investigation, because the current information is not clear and there is some confusion. What is known is that she visited Singha Park, but could remember the date, and she was on the same flight as the women who have since been confirmed as infected. One of them lives in Bangkok and the other in Phichit province. They wore a face mask on the flight, in accordance with the regulations.

He admitted that the investigation of the 10 cases of women, who illegally entered Thailand via the natural border in Chiang Rai, is difficult because not everyone provided accurate information, for fear of legal action. These 10 people are friends and they told one another to provide the same information to the authorities, so the investigation is difficult. The information provided has to be verified with the use of technology, by comparing it with the information from SIM cards. Providing accurate information will make it easier for the authorities to conduct the investigation. All 10 of them allegedly provided only semi-accurate information.

It is admirable the way Thailand handles all its local infections with intensive tracking, unlike the UK whose efforts have been pathetic.

Like the Denver broncos QB's.   Were not forthcoming to trackers.  I say stiff penalties.

So they are even using sim card location data.   I do say Thailand is trying to do its best .   I guess in America the govt let it get out of hand to much so there was no chance to track cases.   Plus no pool of workers who would do case tracking work for min wage.  When health officials homes are having protesters because they report the statistics and  express medical opinions that take freedoms away.
