The election was not about the EU and Brexit. Brexit was already completed. Not quite true, and this was another irony in a saga full of ironies. It was found that the majority of traditionally Labour voting Leave supporters switched their vote to the Tories, whereas the majority of habitual Tory voting Remain supporters continued to vote Conservative. The upshot of this is that Remainers, who wanted another referendum, treated it as a multi-issue General Election, whilst Leavers, who favoured an election, treated it as a single-issue referendum! From this it is easy to see how the Tories managed to increase their majority, but it was in no way an endorsement of Boris' exit strategy. 1

That democratic referendum which was won by the leave campaign has been debated on here by myself and a good few others since 2015. Some have changed their names for whatever reason to conceal their identities. The said poster has only recently come on these threads with his expert opinions. Having an opinion is one thing but telling others they are wrong, they have made a tragic mistakes, and they will suffer is another. It is arrogant, misguided and speculation. You would think that it is affecting him personally or any other non Brit. As usual Non Brits on here keep going on about the UK leaving the EU. Well I don't care and many others don't. What is a joke is the EU masquerading as a democratic entity, when it is not. I am sure like others you will say the EU has its problems. That's the usual but nothing gets done. Some countries don't get to have a democratic referendum and see it through. They have to have another one until the right vote gets done. So when people start belittling a democracy like Brexit is, then it shows the character of a person they are and frankly I find it rude and offensive. Disagree with it that's fine. Calling a democratic vote a name shows the level of intellect a person has. God that’s precious garbage !! 1

Why should it be any different now, once faced with the red tape, many will downsize and concentrate on the domestic market. Just that the remainers can't accept this. No, just for getting 350 mln pounds per week free for the NHS. And to be boss in your own country, without having to listen to anyone abroad. British Law Only. So, 'bio" certified food products completely according British law, and not any influence of the EU like EU 2018/848, to be in force at 1 Jan 2021 (oh, coincidence) , valid for everyone, who wants to sell "Bio / Organic" inside the EU. Only slightly unpleasant collateral damage: not allowed anymore to be sold inside the EU as "Bio / Organic". And so a LOT of rules and regulations.. Think of CE mark of the EU: for all toys, sports articles, electric appliances. Think of all certificates of the FSA, BRC. As valuable as waste paper. Means beef and pork: not allowed to bring inside the EU seen the risk of mouth and claw disease. Poultry and fish: need a special approval number of the EU, ask any Thai exporter. No British manufacturer even started the application for it. This aside of the WTO- import duties and agricultural levies for products from "Third countries". Outside of the EU RASFF, so every trader with "substandard food end feed" will look towards the Tiny Islands, as... before they get the warning... weeks have been passed already. Last-but-not-least: the EU made agreements ( read: import duties) with many countries, that a product may be called "of EU origin", when at least 90% of all parts and components are of EU origin. Means... for British parts new alternatives MUST be found ex the 27 member states, and.. the all mighty UK.. has to finish new agreements first. "Details, details, details", Boris the Liar Cummings would say. 1
