So the British are not going to eat? The Russians have a lot more opportunity to grow their own food and substitute for French products whereas the British do not. Sure, the French may sell less but the market will not disappear overnight.

There is over 300,000 allotments in the Uk

Around 87 per cent of UK households have a garden and estimates suggest that private gardens cover an area about the size of one-fifth of Wales. so plenty of  opportunity to grow their own food

It seems slowly Boris realizes that when he promised unicorns he should have checked first if unicorns are available.

And obviously half the Brits believed him. Amazing.

An avid, short sighted remainer.

So you think if I would be a leaver and I would wear my glasses then I would see the unicorns? Interesting...

Maybe they are special glasses like beer goggles....which, OMG...they do work.

That would be the first time in life that he provide a source for his claims, lets stand a credible one.

By the way wasn't there an announcement already yesterday that a principle deal was reached, or was that a principle no deal?

I suggest you contact your sources, which you can't reveal, and ask them to inform Boris that something must be going on behind his back.

https://www.itv.com/news/2020-12-08/brexit-trade-deal-barrier-removed-as-uk-agrees-in-principle-to-withdraw-law-breaking-clauses-of-legislation

A joint statement from the UK and EU was released following meetings between Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Michael Gove, and the vice president of the European Commission Maroš Šefčovič, which had been aimed at finalising the Withdrawal Agreement.

The statement said: "In view of these mutually agreed solutions, the UK will withdraw clauses 44, 45 and 47 of the UK Internal Market Bill (UKIM), and not introduce any similar provisions in the Taxation Bill."

Mr Gove thanked Mr Šefčovič for participating in talks and said he would update Parliament on the agreement on Wednesday.

I'm so bored of this continual milking.

Brexiteers won and will never admit it was a mistake. They will never admit that we were better off before, even though they're meager pensions (they are paid a pension more than 2 times less than their european counterparts) are steadily becoming more and more worthless the closer we are to no deal. No deal is what BoJo wanted all along.

Remainers lost, we will never stop moaning that the referendum was won with lies and racial overtones. As we are mostly younger, (around 80% of pension age folks voted leave) we will have to pay for these mistakes for the rest of our lives. Well, not me! I moved to Thailand - and will never go back to the isolationist, racist, nationalistic, small lonely island nation that I once called home.

So to summarize, no deal is what is going to happen. Young people - get out of the UK now while you can. See how long the UK government can pay those pensioners without tax paying folks.

Says an anti-Brit.........."Young people-get out of the UK now".....Romania beckons....????

For the young French, German, Italian .... person that is an option. Sadly, post 31/12/20 that option will be unavailable - or much more difficult - for a young Brit.

Clauses 44, 45, and  47 are being withdrawn because the threat from the EU was withdrawn so they are no longer needed,  doesn't solve the 3 main points which will not be agreed on.

The only possible change in outcome will be Germany stepping up maybe today.

Is this meant to be the UK version of the CAP post transition? 'Buy/ rent an allotment and grow your own'. Call me pernickety, but I had hoped for something more substantial.
