Seven?  Then why does article only mentions one province by name?

 

I suppose the the woman from Sing Buri province is actually now in Sing Buri province (though the article doesn't actually say that clearly).  The article also does not mention which province the 5 health care workers are in, but as they eat lunch together one would guess they are not in 5 separate provinces.  

 

So at best the article gives us only:

• 1 clearly stated province
• 1 ambiguously stated province
• 1 unknown province

 

With basic math, that's 3 provinces not 7.

 

Even with the fuzziest of math, it's no more than 4 or 5 provinces max!

 

Ugh.

 

 

The hospital where health workers were infected is BNH Hospital in Bangkok. The workers were at an ASQ hotel affiliated with BNH, and have been isolated and quarantined. Naturally, it caused a panic among BNH visitors and patients.

Why isn't there any mention of these Tachilek girls' customers? I could imagine that every one of them might have infected several patrons of that hotel; most of them Thais.

 

Leads me to believe that there are indeed some big cover ups, when it comes to COVID. A half truth isn't enough to give me peace of mind. But, of course, I am a Farang.

What a perfect way to instil fear, i.e. a few months before the vaccines are to arrive in Thailand, I mean after all there was no mention of Covid domestically for at least 8 months, only those returning from overseas would be infected and quarantined right ?.

 

So if you start spreading fear now, but also ensuring people that everything is under control (which we know people don't trust this government), there will be a build up of anxiety and more to follow in months to come as the "news" of Covid spreads, then keep the finger on the pulse of the vaccine news coming, left, right and centre and round up the sheep straight through those vaccination gates, this one included ????

 

Damned if you do, damned if you don't, but this Nrma vaccine is apparently a breakthrough in its development so why not roll the dice, nothing to lose oi !

The borders were closed for tourism. A 14 day quarantine was required On reentry. In normal times thousands of

Thais would visit this place to gamble etc. 

 

But they didn’t have many Thais there because of the border difficulties. There was only a handful. 

The hookers were catering to Burmese. They did a river crossing.
 

The few Thais who were there have been tested already. Once again, it is in the mainstream news. A blanket coverage for the last week.

After Yesterdays revelation that there were 4 Heath Care workers who were seconded to ASQ from Private Hospitals tested as Covid Positive, we are treated to another revelation Today that another has tested Positive.

Apparently, this worker caught the Virus whilst testing a Family in ASQ for their Temperatures, if you able to believe that load of  Tosh.

It is starting to become very clear, that the main cause for concern, is not the actual Covid Virus, but the Quality , Professionalism, and Reliability of the Health Services to control it.

Constantly we have been told by all the Spokesmen ,and Government that Thailand has a Health Service that is in the top 5 around the Globe

The last 2 Days have really opened up the cracks, and shown the true state of the Health Services. A Medical Sector that is promoting its good image to Health Tourists, and telling them ASQ Quarantine as being safe but necessary and expensive for returning visitors and Tourists.

Well all that is blown out of the Water now.

I have in else news read about five provinces that have had at least one infected of those sneakers. That is Chang Rai, Chang Mai, Phichit, Sing Buri and Bang Kok.

Yep Rancid, you express the same sentiment of all those western experts up until May. So many deaths in Europe and America could have been avoided if masks or even bandannas had been used from the onset.

It's bleeding obvious how they work, especially if the two people in a conversation are wearing them. Think viral load, coughing, shouting and talking with masks on. Surely you can see how masks will impede the flow of the dreaded lurgy.

They only need a Thai ID card to fly in country.

They are illegal because they didn't enter Thailand through a border station, I would assume that they went out the same way they came back therefore no in/out stamps in passports, if indeed they actually had one. For many years my wife called her ID card a passport, as it was all she need to cross the border into neighboring countries, i.e. Laos etc

The health minister (and deputy prime minister), says nothing to worry about.. it's under control..

This is the same chap who blames the previous infections on the dirty farangs, and wants us all kicked out..

I note every day there are no infections caused by dirty farangs, but rather by Thai nationals sex workers, illegally sneaking across the borders of Myanmar, China, and Laos unashamedly spreading the disease.. ????

Many did not cross via the river, but via the bridge.  And were waived on and not required to go into quarantine.  I'm sure a payoff was involved.

That's not exactly true.  N95 is the best, but other masks work also.  Worth a watch:
