Popular Post webfact
Video: "Farang's" motorcycle accident and rant causes much comment online video screenshot Footage that appeared on Facebook showed what happened to a foreign motorcyclist out for a ride along Route 3309 in Muang district of Pathum Thani north of Bangkok. As the motorcyclist - who has a helmet cam recording the incident - nears an intersection another motorcyclist pulls out and the foreigner comes off his machine. In Thai the foreigner then angrily has a go at the other rider who shortly after continues the wrong way down the road. A taxi driver had also come over to join the discussion. Thai Rath put together a video composition in which they said that comment online was considerable. Most posted that the foreigner was in the right, was knocked down and received little help. It was right that the other rider took some verbal abuse. Some said he was lucky it was not a car that could have killed him or caused him to be handicapped. While others blamed the taxi driver - who they said did not see the incident - for siding with the rider who came out of the road rather than the foreigner. The incident happened at the entrance to the road leading to Wat Samlae, said Thai Rath. The angry tirade from the foreigner included such things as "He's in the wrong", "I have a camera", "I'll show you" and "what's wrong with you". It contained several expletives picked up on in the Thai Rath report. Popular Post ThailandRyan
And then, the Thai rider, just rode off into the sunset afterwards completing the Hit & Run aspect of fleeing the scene afterwards instead of staying. Of course he had lost FACE and could care less of the foreigner it appears.

Popular Post TSF
Sounds like he's new, hasn't been here very long, hasn't yet learned that he's a foreigner, it's not his country, he's just a guest here and has no rights whatsoever, and he must never get angry, or lose his temper and raise his voice to his gracious Thai hosts as it's their country and they can do just what they please and it's none of his business. 37 2 6 1

Well yeah, we all know that whatever the situation a Thai will side with another Thai, even if the Thai is in the wrong and the foreigner is the victim. Thais are super racist and don't care about foreigners, many actively despising them. Sadly, you have to consider this when you decide whether to make Thailand your home.
Popular Post BKKBike09
This is a comedy classic. When this dude home-built his non-road legal battery-power Sonic or whatever it is, did he forget to add brakes? Has he no self-respect? Posting a video showing how to fall off a moped while traveling at 20 kmh on a dry road straight towards a basically stationary object? Plus anyone riding in flip flops deserves some road rash. 14 1 4 3

But there was no 'Hit'. The foreigner was an inexperienced rider because he slammed on the front brakes too much causing the front wheel to lock. He had time to swerve but possibly suffered 'target fixation'. 8 1
Popular Post Lacessit
It's commonplace for Thais to be riding the wrong way, normal etiquette ( sarcasm alert ) is to ride on the right hand side of them. I'm used to it, as I rarely get above 50 km/hr I can adjust for idiots.

Only post that makes sense to me, if the farang wasn't gobbing off for his next you tube vlog then he may have been able to control his bike, really embarrassing to be honest. 11

You have no idea just having a rant, it is not the farang in the video that needs a smack in the head, but you. You need to wake up, and stop posting nonsense. the only thing that was hit was the thai man by the forang with his hands as far as accident there was no collision 4
Popular Post neverere
No doubt the Thai rider was in the wrong. That said, this style of driving is the norm here and the farang displayed some very poor driving skills. If you ride a motorcycle in Thailand I think it wise to be ready for these kind of events. He should have approached the junction with more caution. the Taxi driver being in support of his countryman is also to be expected, he takes umbrage to the farangs reaction, somewhat justifiably. 6 1

A hot head who hasn’t adjusted to the local driving conditions. He obviously had been in Thailand for a while, so he should have known and been on the lookout. I knew an similar hothead Englishman in Pattaya who had the same attitude. He failed to yield to a van while on a motorbike, instead of just moving over because he was “in the right” legally. The van got a scratch, the driver didn’t give a toss and the Englishman got a broken leg and a three day Bangkok Pattaya hospital bill. If he is reading this now I am sure it will enrage him. When in Rome. I rarely ride the bike, much safer in my car. 4

In Asia this means slowly, checking all around you and fully expecting people to come the wrong way down the road straight at you. Also keeping in mind that people will not yield for you, even when behind you, and the rules mean nothing. 4
