No it's not.

 

It just means promoting other economic sectors over tourism.

 

I'm pretty sure Thailand will be happy to have tourists back post-Covid, at least initially, in order to quicken the economic recovery.

Vietnam doesn't seem that much more polluted to me than Thailand, except maybe in the north - polluted air coming down from Chinese factories and such.

Correct. It just means promoting other industries over tourism.

Are there any politicians left in Thailand? My understanding is that apart from the odd one or two, it is mostly military academy "educated" soldiers who are trying to run Thailand.
