I am a Singaporean and intended to apply for a one-year retiree visa to stay in Chiangmai. Can anyone one please advise me where and how can I also apply for a multiple re-entry permit visa. The Thai Embassy in Singapore says they do not issuse re-entry permit, its is true..

Also the 800,000 baht requirement for extension  after one year stay, can this amount be in a joint account with with my Thai fiancee...Thank you..

Get three month o visa before arrival.

Go to immigration in Chiangmai near the airport. Take the necessary paperwork including bank affirmation of money,800k.

Ask for one year "resident visa" ,ask for multiple re-entry permit.

Pay the money and collect the next day -we did!

Thailand..Spot ON very good advice on visa application at Chaing Mai.As the man said KISS (keep it simple stupid)Also the money only needs to be in the bank for 1 day.Beg steal or borrow it.(not so much of the steal)Then down to the GATE for a swallae.HOWEVER a 800,000 baht joint a/c with a Thai fiancee...what are you thinking of ?? I wouldnt have a joint bank book with my dear (Thai)wife never mind a etc.good Luck

Ask for a 12 Month Extension of Stay for the purpose of Retirement.
