Twenty fire engines tackled a huge fire at the Zereclor Corporation depot in Khao Yoi, Phetchaburi yesterday afternoon.

Overhead footage posted live on Facebook showed thick clouds of black smoke and explosions.

77kaoded said it was an engine oill mixing plant. The company concerned is involved in wholesale refining of petroleum products.

It took three hours until the blaze was brought under control at 7pm and an investigation could begin.

Initiial statements from staff suggested that there was a spillage and despite electrical power being cut there was a spark.

Tens of millions of baht in damage was caused, said the media.
