They are cheaper back in Los Angeles too.  However, they are those “hothouse” grown berries that even though they look great and are gigantic, they are, for the most part, completely flavorless.

That much is true, that's probably why I don't buy them very often. Very rarely do you ever get sweet berries outside of the summer season.

You can also order on-line (FB), overnight delivery. I paid 399 baht/1 kilo incl shipping. All berries perfect. Ordered two more kilos.

 

 

Roadside stands in the north are packed with them.
