roger101
I need to buy a large (deep) saucepan. The cheaper the better. Can anybody tell me the best Thai market for this (or a likely shop).
Leaver
Go to a supermarket where the prices are marked.
ezzra
Forget 'going to markets' its so nineties now, get on to Lazada and Shopee and you will find there more stuff there than any markets in Thailand fair price and home deliveries too...

A lot of all kinds of stuff. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Rv874GBMUYi2qhkA9
Norbert Halfwit
Try the huge hotel supplies store, directly behind Big C on Second Road. It's full of cheap and nasty Chinese made pots and pans. 1 1
HashBrownHarry
Cheap won't last, it'll warp and then you'll use extra electricity or gas due to poor heat transfer.

Heavier duty stuff might be found on a run North on Sukhumvit, from Klang, taking in Index, Boonthavorn and Homepro.
Kaoboi Bebobp
^^^ I agree. Home Pro has loads of discounted items these days. I would not buy any cheap and nasty pans from China. You will hate the smell and look of a Chinese pan the first time you season it. Been there, done that, binned that. roger101
Thank you for all your suggestions. The pan was never going to used in conventional cooking only as a receptacle for a water bath (sous vide).
