MAHA SARAKHRAM, Feb 18 (TNA) - The first Thai doctor who died of COVID-19 was in Maha Sarakham province and he had earlier examined patients from a COVID-19 cluster in the northeastern province.

A charity foundation named Khun Weero Kusol Songkroh announced the death of Dr Panya Hanphanitphan on its Facebook page. He was the 18 th  COVID-19 case of Maha Sarakham and contracted the disease during his examination of patients who had been infected with COVID-19 in a feast.

Dr Panya examined three people with respiratory symptoms, later confirmed with COVID-19, at his clinic on Jan 13, 14 and 25.
