Ganja party at MaeJo University today, Saturday.

If anyone is interested in a fun countryside drive, it's possible to drive right up to and all the way around the growing facility in Maejo. There are security cameras high fences and guards, but you can still easily peer inside and even smell the trees from the road.

Did you sample anything BritMan?

I tried 3-4 drinks with fan leaves, but gave the food a miss.

It was all free in small sample cups and plates.

Thailand really just needs to go all out with the ganja.

It’s got the farming culture. It’s got the climate. It needs the economic boost. It’s got a bunch of hotheads who really need to chill out and jai yen yen, with a much needed alternative to lao khao and ya ba.

That sums it up... in a nutshell.

Gawd I detest gimmickry.  Food topped with "Maejo no-high".

A sign should be posted on the fence:

Average Thais may not engage in this practice.  You are not to benefit from the cultivation and sale of cannabis.  Take your pictures and move along.  This is not for you.  Try this at home and you will be thrown into prison.

Actual location is maejo natural farming R&D center. About 6km from Maejo University campus.

Does your post promote something legal or illegal in Thailand?

It would raise the standard of living for most Thais who cultivate cannabis.  It will never happen though.  Anutin paid lip-service to allow the commoners to cultivate cannabis and share in the benefits of this lucrative cash crop - but in reality?  The wealthy don't share.  Supply and demand.  They limit the supply so the price remains high for the extra special people who are allowed to be growers.  If all Thai households were allowed to grow even 6 plants like Anutin promised a couple of years back, then the additional supply would drop the cannabis market price and dramatically cut into the profits of the anointed growers.  No, this is a closed game and average Thais will never be dealt in at this table even though they were told they would be.  But hey!  Change my mind.
