Majestic Grande is good as well but for some reason I preferred the new Dynasty

Majestic Suites is almost as much as they only have the expensive rooms left and they are not that big

Can anyone recommend a good hotel near or on Soi 4? Can be mid-range or above.

Cheers

Er ... which Soi 4? Ratchadaphisek? Si Lom? Sukhumvit? One of the others?

Sofitel Grand Sukhumvit or of course the tried and tested JW Marriott - But only because I am a Classy guy :D

Yes, I too prefer those classy hotels too with sinks at normal hand height; rather than the hotels with sinks at knee height designed for a quick wash of the old fella.

The Landmark around there is also quite nice.

You can't beat the Nana Hotel.

Around 1,300 baht with free breakfast, cable TV, air-con and swimming pool. Right in the middle of the action.

If you pay more you are throwing your money away! :o

Well I suppose that depends. Ratchada, Si Lom and Suk Soi 4s all have different attractions :o
