Bluesofa is doing OK. Strapped to a stiff bamboo at the mo.

He is being well looked after and although his cycle is damaged the upside is that he can now carry it about in a suitcase.

He is good spirits, and I hope to see him this w/e. Will report.

Why is it a strange assertion? The plonker who destroyed my life with his pickup, never took responsibilty for driving the wrong way on a dual carriage way, and almost killing me. So no not

What crazy situation the past few days? Not noticed anything out of the ordinary.

Sounds like your a lucky black and blue sofa right now good luck ????

...Get better soon blue sofa..... Once up & about, think about getting a car.....

Even better, get an armored truck. When I lived in Thailand I got myself a second-hand Volvo, forgot the model name but it was pre-1970 and the next best thing to a tank. Everybody got out of my way and kept a safe distance behind me.

very unusual here for a person to take responsibity for their actions.

Strange assertion.

They probably were “ sick “ of his humour and pun-ted him out ? Now his long suffering wife will have to “ nurse” him back to health .
Plenty of joke ( rice gruel) for you for a while Bluey.

Seriously Bluesofa , hope you get well soon, the above was just a little taste of what we have had to put up with over the years !!

Yes, I enjoy sarcasm when it is delivered in a very subtle manner.

And from URBAN DICTIONARY..........

Sar-chasm

(n) the giant gulf between the sarcastic comment and the person who doesn't get it.

So resting flat at home, I wonder if the doctor took care of his stiff member after being flat for so long.  Get well @bluesofa

Had a request from another TVF member:

@Peter Denis would like to wish you a speedy recovery and misses your sarcastic and cheery posts.

( Peter is currently enjoying a 2 week “ holiday “ from TVF after being rear ended by another TVF member ????

Does anyone know if Colin, the OP is OK, haven't seen him in a while.

This came up a few months ago.....At that time all was good....

It was reported he had a falling out with another member and was posting here less, but has been active in other forums....

I was only thinking yesterday that it had been a long time since we heard from him. Maybe I will send him a p.m. and ask if he is o.k.

CN has left the forum I believe, whether he jumped or was pushed I couldn’t comment.

He frequented elsewhere on the internet ( ????) for a while but has left there also.

Friends have reported that all is well though and he is having a break .

  • 3 weeks later...

Oh dear, sorry to hear that. I'll write him a poem ......

Stopped posting, maybe, as it's impossible to "leave" the forum unless you're banned.   Resignations are not accepted!

I am not a number, I am a free man ....

so there is a Sign Out AN function and surely a “leave” request to Support can remove you from AN ?

Otherwise then it would be “you can check out any time you want but can never leave”  ? Eagles / Hotel California or yes The Prisoner situation….. !

Fractured Spine & Lucky Not Worse ….good grief…….no wonder many refuse to drive here…worst road traffic stats. anywhere worldwide……..20-22k Dead every year……

Motorbike Defensive Driving Safety Reminder : NEVER become stationary / unshielded in the road. Anywhere. For any reason. EVER.  I rarely stop at traffic lights (continue safely at T junc. or exit road left / u turn re- entry). no stopping for non- t/light right turn ( drive on /pull over /  u turn crossing when completely clear). If cannot safely continue SHIELD Bike behind Larger Vehicle.

Constantly check 360 degrees and travel at max. safe speed to minimize a moving rear -ender. Helmet-Gloves - Shoes. No Accidents in 17 years here on & off. No interest in contrary suicidal road traffic laws. I am not here to join traffic queues or visit hospital emergency wards…….never driven our car here….too slow & inconvenient…..car for my lady to drive (child & myself as passengers) for family convenience & best safety …….always worried when lady uses bike !

hey blue(sofa) take it easy mate, let the nurses and the doctor treat you well and have  full recovery so we can see you back in here once again real soon
