Disabling a Laptop Keyboard

For reasons I won't go into here, I need to disable the keyboard on my HP laptop and use a remote USB keyboard. I have Windows 10 installed.  I select 'Device Manager', then 'Keyboards', then uninstall, but it keeps coming back.  Any ideas on how I can permanently disable it?

Please give me a tiny hint ???? because even if it is active you should be able to use a USB keyboard.

The laptop keyboard had water damage which has short circuited some of the keys.  Despite repeated attempts to get it sorted it just goes wild ever now and again.  Using a USB keyboard solves the problem for a short time, but then the laptop keyboard takes over and goes crazy again.  Hence I need to permanently disable it so that I can continue with the USB keyboard.

OP, I just had a new keyboard fitted to my 7 year old Dell Vostro laptop, cost 1,000 baht, and took 2 days, including keyboard being ordered and delivered.

Local computer repair shop should be able to do the same

Apparently, my keyboard on this particular HP laptop cannot be replaced as each individual key is stand alone in the moulding.  It is not a fully separate keyboard in other words, that can be just taken out as one compete unit and replaced by a new one.
