Thai police arrested 41 year old Phairot Jindalak from Chonburi on an arrest warrant for extortion issued on March 4th this year.

Following investigations by the Bang Phae police in Ratchaburi Phairot was picked up at the Santisuk Condo in Bangkapi in the Thai capital Bangkok.

In 2019 a well known online page had carried a story that heroin had been seized in Thaiwan. It was allegedly contained in coconut perfume that had its origin from an agricultural delivery center managed by Prayoon Wisutphaisan in Ratchaburi.

Phairot attempted to extort 2 million baht from Prayoon to make the case go away.

But Prayoon went to the police as he had never been mixed up in crime.

It emerged that the news of the bust was fictitious and the web page had been fooled.

Police claim that Phairot made it all up to get money out of Prayoon.

Phairot denies everything but has been detained, reported Daily News
