Phuket Immigration overloaded by COVID visa rush

PHUKET: Phuket Immigration has yet to explain what caused the mass of foreigners to be forced to wait outside this morning (Mar 25) while waiting to even receive a numbered ticket to have their applications processed.

Suspect who allegedly harassed Thai PM’s twin daughters in custody

A 40-year old man, now in police custody, is being questioned over the alleged harassment on social media of the twin daughters of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.

Rocker Sek Loso sent to Min Buri remand prison

Controversial Thai rock star Seksan Sukpimai, better known as “Sek Loso”, was sent to Min Buri remand prison today (Thursday), to serve his 2 years and 18 months jail term, after the Supreme Court rejected his appeal against the Appeal Court’s verdict.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's resort island of Phuket is pushing to waive compulsory quarantine for tourists vaccinated against COVID-19 from July, when it expects 70% of its local population to have been inoculated.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand has granted emergency authorisation to Janssen, the single-dose coronavirus vaccine of Johnson & Johnson, the country's health minister said on Thursday, the third vaccine to be cleared for local use.
