Thailand reported 97 new COVID-19 infections on Thursday.

 

Of the new cases, 92 were local transmissions, while 5 were imported from people entering quarantine.

 

A further 73 people were discharged from hospital having made a full recovery.

 

1,405 people remain in hospital or held in a migrant worker quarantine centre.

 

Wednesday’s cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand to 28,443 with 92 deaths.

The numbers being found in hospitals are rising. 44 were identified through mass testing; 27 Thais, 16 from Myanmar and one Tajikistani and 21 Thais at hospitals. This should be more concerning as we all know how difficult it is to get a test in a hospital, and the expense.
