Normsl colour Should be light clear yellow at most. A good indication that you are hydrated, but food and medication can change colours. I also carry a thermos with cool water in the car so I always have a drink at hand. I have no problem drinking 3 lts a day and usually more. That depends on the size of the glass. I personally am thirsty at least 10 times a day (that's only once an hour or more frequently), so the 8 x 33ml glasses plus a couple of Singhas does the trick. I think 8 glasses of plain water is recommended, not other drinks that may contain water but also have other ingredients like sugar, caffeine, alcohol etc. You can have 10 bottles of beer and wake up in the morning dehydrated.
