Sukhothai Airport

Hi,

I see that Bangkok AIrways flies twice a day from Suvarnabhumi to Sukhothai.

It might be an alternative to Phitsanoluke I used but Thai Airways has gone back to Don Muang with these flights

Has anybody tried this Bangkok-Sukhothai with Bangkok Airways ?

How far is the airport from the city ?

Airport is 27 kilometers from town.

I have flown to Sukhothai 4 or 5 times to see the family in law.

It takes around 20 minutes to get in to city.

I can't recall the cost of the mini van (taxi), but it was cheap.

The fares were also applicaple from the airport.

Here is the latest list of fares for the Bangkok Airways mini van from Sukhothai airport.

Much better alternative going straight into Sukhothai, and yes the minivan is about 500 Baht to the centre of town.

240 baht for a return to the new town.
