Naew Na reported that Crime Suppression Division police armed with warrants searched five places in Buriram in the north east of Thailand in connection with an online gambling ring.

Sixteen arrests were made and a great deal of electrical equipment and accounts' details was seized in evidence.

In March the CSD through their website and other pages had become aware of a gambling operation in the province centered around www.sajoker123.

This page was being used to advertise and encourage others to set up illegal operations and was prepared to sell username data for 300,000 baht.

In total the arrests pertained to the running of nine other websites with a total monthly turnover of 50 million baht.

All those arrested have been charged with offences related to illegal online gambling.

Fairly reasonable pointing, that, 8 out of 10!

Oh, for heavens, just legalise gambling and get some coffers in the government money pots. Bring Thailand into the 21st century.
