The Accused

The accused stood in the dock, while the prosecutor read the charges. He had a very bad cough, which slowed the proceedings down. The judge asked the man if he understood the gravity of the charges, which were of a sexually lewd nature i.e. buggery, rape, and sodomy. Coughing all the while the judge spoke, the judge said," thats a very bad cough you have, have you ever tried sucking a 'Fishermans friend' ? The accused replied,'' Your honour, don't you think I'm in enough trouble!"
