As far as I know, posts that deny Covid, anti-vaxxers, conspiracy theories are not allowed on this forum.  To the best of my knowledge Thaivisa does allow free speech but has its limits. In the case of posts conating covid denials and anti-vaccine messages, I believe they are banned because of the damage they can do through potential influence.

The poster I am refering to is sailing very close to the wind with his comments. In my opinion he has tried to get his point across (covid denial) by not directly stating such a position - although it is clear to me what his underlying message is.

I am not in a position to block him or delete his posts - that is the job of the moderators but just as you say he is entitled to free speech, that also applies to me calling him out on his veiled message doesn't it?

You may note that in his subsequent posts, the subject member has not denied what he was getting at.

Jonathan Fairfield reported that an investigation into her death is on going. He also mentioned that all other victims had pre-existing health conditions.

Thus, Sundown mentioning the potential for comorbidity is not a conspiracy or ‘covid denying’ its response to a natural skepticism due the vague reporting of Covid-19 figures and statistics.

It would be interesting and helpful to know if this lady sadly passed as a direct result of complications due to Covid-19 (i.e. cytokine storm, respiratory failure etc) or, if Covid-19 tipped her over the edge with an existing serious illness - it seems not.

One standout issue: Gestational diabetes is not uncommon in pregnant ladies, Covid-19 seems to impact those with diabetes more severely and diabetes is often quoted as pre-existing health condition / comorbidity.

But, in this case (of Gestational diabetes) influenza or a high temperature would not give cause for severe or life threatening complications.

Thus: the questions many may ask are valid - Did Covid-19 actually kill the person or did it just ’tip the scales’ - the reporting of Died ‘with Covid-19’ (rather than because of or complications due to) has always been criticised for this purpose.

That criticism doesn’t make a covid denier, it makes someone skeptical of the information being reported because of the vague language being used by those reporting the figures.

IMO those who use this ‘vague language’ are accountable for some of the scepticism some have regarding the statistics we read.

She reported a high fever and a cough on April 8, tested positive for the virus on April 15 and died on April 23. An investigation into her death is ongoing.

The other victims all had pre-existing health conditions, including obesity, diabetes, gout, high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia and chronic kidney disease.

His original comment was very similar to those made by Covid deniers. Since then he's had the opportunity to explain if he indeed meant something entirely different.  He has replied and didn't take that opportunity.

In my opinon, his original comment was a veiled Covid denial but you are perfectly entitled to your views.

Your internet friends who sent you that figure didn't bother to tell you that Delhi is a fast growing, large city. From 2015 to 2016, the population grew by a million people. So, yeah, deaths went up.

A leading cause of excess deaths in Delhi is air pollution. If there were only a way to convince people in Delhi to wear face masks.

My internet friend is a government source, result n°1 on Google.

The death RATE, being a RATE, is weighted. So I want to ask again, if you minded about Delhi in 2016 or you just care about them now because it's cool to be a covid warrior in every situation?

Again, the news says her death is being investigated. So, sorry covid fans/warriors!
