191 emergency call centre to take calls from COVID-19 patients

Thailand’s 191 emergency call centre has started accepting calls from people infected with COVID-19 who need to be admitted to hospital, to ease the burden on the 1168, 1669 and 1330 hotline services of the Public Health Ministry.

Significant progress reported in AstraZeneca vaccine production in Thailand

AstraZeneca released a statement today announcing that their plans to produce its COVID-19 vaccine in Thailand have made “significant progress” and that the first batch of the vaccine will be delivered to the Thai Government this June.

(Reuters) - World number one Ko Jin-young, two-times champion Inbee Park and holder Park Sung-hyun head the field at the HSBC Women's World Championship starting on Thursday as the LPGA Tour returns to Asia for the first time in 18 months amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Phuket health chief assures enough hospital beds for COVID patients

PHUKET:-- The Chief of the Phuket Provincial Public Health Office (PPHO), Dr Kusak Kukiattikoon, has assured that the island will not run out of hospital beds to treat and monitor people confirmed as infected with COVID-19.

Phuket officials re-release COVID measures order in English

PHUKET:-- Following a meeting with consuls representing at least 14 countries yesterday, the Phuket Provincial Government today (Apr 28) re-posted online the English-language version of the original order implementing the COVID prevention measures that are to remain in effect until at least Friday (Apr 30).
