Maybe in your locality it's one way. Don't project nationally based on one location.

I've heard from many who've signed up either at their local hospitals or with their local officials.  Not just from that new app.  Which seems tough to deal with.

Several of the government notices I've seen have said the same.  If you can't use the app, go to your local hospital or seek out a local government office for help.

We don't have even one report of someone doing that successfully in Pattaya.

That is a neat bit of info. I don't have a pink ID but I do have the 13-digit number that was generated for me by the Revenue Department.

I believe that number might work to get me an appointment via the system. But, I also believe that when I show up in the queue on the assigned day I will get politely escorted out the door.

So I'm not gonna bother trying. Like many ex-pats, I will rely on Thai entrepreneurial spirit to make something like Pfizer or Moderna appear on the menu at my local private hospital. In June would be nice.

Thanks,

3-4 looks a little tough in my book?  I would assume my passport would verify my Birth date and location but it has to be translated and certified by office of foreign minister etc..  not being negative but not looking good?????

More likely August not June.

It would be advisable to find out the specific requirements for a yellow book from your local amphur.  My amphur had a pamphlet in English that specified the requirement.  For example, I needed no translations and no certifications from MFA to obtain my yellow book, although I am sure that some offices would require that.  One of the things that needs to be done is to get a translation of your name into Thai and in many cases, the names of your parents as well.  My name had been translated already for documents at the Land Office so they were able to use that.   Before you go down the path of meeting the requirments best to find out what the specific requirements are at your amphur.

The purpose of the passport and other translation , is to get a correct translation of your name.

If you are already married in Thailand, your marriage documents already contain a MFA certified translation of your name and parents name , and will be accepted in lieu.

Local translation businesses can often arrange the MFA translation via mail.

From my own experiences I somehow doubt that in many places the 'admin' folks or the 'HR' folks are all that well informed nor up to date with the changes etc., that are in progress with this matter

under normal circumstances, I'd agree with you. however, the hospital director who's in charge of the vaccine distribution and administration at the uni i work for confirmed that I'm not eligible at the moment. oh well.

I have purchased a house some land and build apartment rentals but as for owning it for personal reason I want nothing to do with it. The ownership is for my wife and son which he will inherit when we both past.  So going down and getting the yellow book translating it. Don't get me wrong I think the information provided here BIG THANKS!  the more I see and hear the more I leaning it is more work than beneficial. As noted it has been required since 2008 I've a bit longer than 15 years and never have I actually seen any benefits spoken until now that would want me to jump through the hoops to get one.

In relationship to the vaccine and I.D  I've resided to just paying for first the Pfizer, Moderna, J&J and if that isn't offered and AZ is when it time that it will benefit me personally I will pay for that too.

Just wanted to say thanks for your time in providing the information. Not trying to be unappreciative of your time but the more I read the more I just don't want to do it.  As you noted 2008 a requirement up to now I've not really heard of anyone needing one over the benefits which up to now my Thai driver license, has just done fine.

To get the vaccine free I had already resided to just paying for it that gives me the freedom to select what is out there that includes my Thai family all have decline the Sino offered my wife has some medical issue so we will need to consult with her Doctor prior to any vaccine.

Thanks, I do have the marriage item as you noted already translated so that is a plus!

Understand you used your pink card info. Where did you register it? Line, Website? Hospital?

Thank you.

Thanks. I just used Line to scan the QR Code in the original news item here on Thai Visa. Very quick and simple. Google translate works well too. Have had follow up messages from them on Line too.

You might want to try Google Lens app.  It uses Google Translate too, but in my experience it seems to do a slightly better job at doing the character recognition part on Thai texts.  It is a free app available at the Play Store for download.

I was offered the Astra vaccine today. There is a black market for vaccines.

I wasn't going to bother as I'm healthy but not so sure now, as I want to travel in July to the UK. It might make things easier.

Don't trust it ,so how will you get the proof for travelling black market docs?

Was able to use the app and schedule for BNH hospital on July 1st.  After scheduling received a confirmation on the line app, and then about 2 hours later my BNH line app popped up with it in my appointments list.  I see my endocrinologist on the 17th at BNH and I will confirm with him that the appointment shows for the vaccination.  I had already signed up with BNH to be notified when an appointment was available.  Lets see where we go from here.

I “ successfully registered” for astronaut training; evidence though is i wont make astronaut......

many farang have registered but many report reg.rejection, appt. cancellation, unable to register.

evidence is not one farang jabbed.......oh its for a future appt........ yeah right......like those will turn into jabs with 1% thai population vaxed..........

dont get so many desparate farangs wanting low quality Sinovac Only........

unless very ill with cancer, obese, diabetes I guess........

govt scheme limited to pink ID over 60’s I think...... ?

otherwise .just register with private hospital, isolate and wait.......

.how many farangs dead here from covid or on ventilators....... ? tiny fraction right .....?

Well here is another turn, these folks amaze me

Vaccines reserved for Thais, not expats - Public Health Ministry | Thaiger (thethaiger.com)

The Government confirmed that foreigners who had registered via the Mor Prom app or the LINE app would not be offered vaccination in the June or July roll out.

The issue of foreigners being able to access Covid vaccines in Thailand is further complicated by the government’s not allowing private companies or hospitals to independently import vaccine doses after changing their mind several times on the matter.

Use the 13 numbers on the front as that is your ID number.

Yes I used my thai ID number, but you also have to but in the number on the back side of the card. For thais that number starts with JT, but for others it starts with B. If it doesn’t start with JT you cannot register. I read that if you have a thai wife, then she can register and add family members. That way you can register.

will always have priority for Covid-19 vaccines, the public health ministry said yesterday, denying reports that some expats living in the kingdom are also allowed to sign up for free injections.
The ministry said if the government wanted to take care of everyone living here, it had no intention of giving expatriates free vaccines due to very limited vaccine stocks, so Thais would be the first. to get them.
"Vaccines at the moment are only for Thais who are now at a high risk level or who live in areas of severe epidemics," spokesman Rungrueng Kitphati said. “They [expatriates] should wait for clear government policy.
“In the future, the country will provide more alternatives for vaccines so that they can have a chance to get it. Do not worry.
"There will soon be a surplus of vaccines, so it will not be difficult to obtain them."
On Monday, some expats announced on social media that they had successfully registered to get the vaccine through the Mor Prom Line app.
@joecummings wrote on Twitter that he booked his vaccination at McCormick Hospital in Chiang Mai in June.
However, the ministry was quick to deny that the government intended to give free shots in June and July to foreigners over the age of 60 with underlying health conditions.
To date, 1.498 million people from priority groups have been vaccinated, including public health workers, frontline workers and people living in high-risk areas.

Slight clarification.  My pure Thai wife's ID card reverse laser number starts with the letters ME. Her old card started with JC.   JT is just an example of a two letter code.

The significant difference is the Thai code starts with 2 letters and the foreigner cards start with one.
