Sending Medicine Abroad

Featured Replies

My son in law like me is on Metformin, his problem is his doctor will only give him two weeks supply at a time and on a couple of occasions he has been caught out when late home. Requests for a small amount as "spare" have been refused. Now I buy mine here for 750 baht a box of 500 tablets and wondered if there were any problems in sending them through the post to him in England , the package would have a complete customs label so they would know what was inside. As far as I am aware Metformin does not fall into the "class A , B C " of drugs but I could be wrong. If they do not then I can see no problem in posting him a box, anyone got any experience in sending medication to UK by post?

Thanks for that information Peter, its quite clear.

He needs to change his Doctor pronto. I have a chronic condition which requires regular drugs and I get 2 months supply at a time. Making him go every two weeks for drugs which he'll be taking long term is just plain stupid.
