Space junk fuel tank safely recovered off Phuket

PHUKET: Officers from the Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command successfully recovered a metal sphere from the seabed off Phuket today (May 17) that has now been confirmed to be a discarded fuel tank for a rocket, satellite or other object heading for, or already in, orbit.

PM tells Corrections to treat COVID-19 infected inmates humanely, as cases in prison surpasses 10,000

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has instructed Thailand’s Corrections Department to step up active screening of prison inmates and to treat sick prisoners humanely, like any other patient, as the COVID-19 surge continues in prisons, with cases found in prison surpassing 10,000 this month, said Government Deputy Spokesperson Traisulee Traisoranakul today (Monday).

Phuket new COVID cases plunge for second consecutive day

Thailand air travel is estimated to drop by 38% in 2021

Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (Aerothai) has lowered its estimates of total domestic and international air travel in 2021 to 323,093 flights, a 38% reduction from its 518,790 flights estimate at the start of the year.

Three centres set up in Bangkok to screen COVID-19 cases before hospitalization
