Biggest thing to fear is fear itself

For (friendly) arguments sake, name us one with any relevance to the current global situation.

biggest thing to fear is regurgitating covid and vaccines ad nauseum.

  • It doesn't help that the media whips up & encourages this fear.   ☀️ + ☁️ = 0

Members on an internet forum is something we can all see/read, with an alleged membership of 500k, there should have been nearly 10 members who died of COVID in the past year, with many more suffering serious hospital stays, and lingering after effects. Especially on this forum where there are many sick and elderly, one would have supposed many more of us would have suffered than in the general population. So where are all their posts describing their experiences? As far as I can see it's only me and then I get the fear mongers demanding to see a test result.

'People I know' is generally open to question, but I'd believe a lot of members posting of their own serious illness.

Not a good argument.

Did you test your family for Covid?  You seem to be ignoring the question.  I believe it's been asked before and you said no.  So how do you know you had covid without a test?  Impossible.

Your agenda of fear drives your questions.

There is no logic behind anything you post, only your own fear.

Right.  So you claim you had covid but never were tested.  Zip credibility now.

There have been 7m-13m excess deaths worldwide during the pandemic

"The Economist has attempted to model the level of excess mortality over the course of the pandemic in countries that do not report it. This work gives a 95% probability that the death toll to date is between 7.1m and 12.7m, with a central estimate of 10.2m."

So they attempted to guess and the guess was at worst 12.7 million  out of a population of 7.8 billion

which is still a whopping   0.16025641025641 %

How many of those excess deaths have been due the extraordinary measures taken

(lock downs ,loss of income/jobs,suicides,missed operations/doctors appointments ) to combat the virus ?

New reports are coming out saying many are dying months later due to complications from covid.  But since they no longer have covid, their deaths are not classified as such.

It's going to be a long time before we really understand the true severity of this virus.  Which is much worse than many think.  As proven by this report.

Like I said, you are a COVID denier and you've never had any credibility on this forum.

You need to look up the definition of denier.  A dictionary would help. LOL

And still won't answer the question as to whether you were tested, even though you say pretty much every day:

Me and my family survived (4 people) COVID with no after effects, which is all that counts for me.

Talk about a pile of poop. LOL

I didn't know that the forum had an official determiner (determinator?) of crediblity.

I don't know if blather comes in piles but you're sure generating a lot of it.

Study: COVID-19 Can Kill Months After Infection

For the Nature study, researchers examined more than 87,000 COVID-19 patients and nearly 5 million control patients in a federal database. They found COVID-19 patients had a 59% higher risk of death up to 6 months after infection, compared to non-infected people.

Those findings translate into about eight extra deaths per 1,000 patients over 6 months, because many deaths caused by long-term COVID complications are not recorded as COVID-19 deaths, the researchers said.

Even if someone does claim to be tested, or, for that matter, makes any other claim about their personal experience, it has nil evidentiary value coming, as it does, from an anonymous party with no way to verify said claim.

Which somehow stopped the flu virus, but not the COVID virus...makes sense...

You think people are no longer getting the flu and masks did not prevent any Covid infections..... ?

Deluded.

Not sure this will happen if the only option is sinovac, which looks very likely.

Well any govt's job is to show the people that although sinovac may not be the best vaccine available it  most certainly  will stop severe complications and death.

Though this is probably true, what's missing is how effective is it?  Plus, this is from the Chinese government.  Not a very reliable source.
