The government has adjusted its vaccine distribution plans,

This means there aren't enough jabs to go round after wrangling so long over commissions.  Once all hi-sos; their gardeners; generals; politicians and their friends; health workers have been done there will be none left for Issaan folk and farangs.

They are just paving the way for significant delays in the local production of AZ.

You know people will think your a conspiracy theorist unless you can back up what your saying, and then when you do back it up, then what, will they listen and acknowledge what you just pointed out.

I think people are in a real panic and are forgetting about their immune systems and other alternatives, it's a full on drive for vaccinations, day in, day out, each to their own.

44,549 people died in Thailand alone in 2018 from Influenza & Pneumonia in 2018.

Pneumonia can be caused by any number of afflictions, not all of which are infectious.

That's beside the point, really !

Dr. Kiattiphum made the remarks after a number of hospitals announced that they will not be able to administer the second shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine in time to those who have received their first shot.

Just admit it, Prayuts plan to use only one Thai manufacturer of AZ has hit the skids, it cannot meet the current demand. And all the proposed registrations, administering sites etc are all in doubt.

It cannot possibly meet a nationwide vaccination programme as Siam Bioscience simply cannot produce enough in the given time.

As for the second jab that clashes with the later supply for the remaining first jabs... hence the 16 week delay.

Greta work PM.... step aside

It's ok for the PM to get his 2nd vaccine shot after 10 weeks, but us mere mortals will have to wait 16 weeks!

And he ducked the Sinovac.. but that's ok for the rest of us.

New Vaccine Plan.

Listen up Peeps

" We got no Vaccines yet, or a Plan to administer the Vaccines we dont have so we will call you when we have Vaccines and a Plan "

I knew i get a bite Thanks lol Oh also look out for the flu i just had it It is a bad one and it was not covid  Enjoy your day Sir

Given the fluidity of the Flipping and Flopping, the government continues to be totally confused by the Thai public's "vaccine hesitancy."
Flip-Flop, Flip-Flop
Who'll get the jabs,
And who will not.
Flip-Flop, Flip-Flop....

This is the face saving way of saying that we did not commit to ordering enough, early enough & SinoBioScience are in a shambles as they also did not commit to the ingredients early enough

That is what I read between the lines but open to other suggestions

Good job.  Club the unbelievers with the "conspiracy theory" bludgeon.  <whack whack whack>  "Showed you!"  ????

ThailandRyan, you are an intelligent and articulate fellow.  Don't pick up the "conspiracy theory" bludgeon to put an end to a conversation.  You're smarter than that.  Use published scientific data and statistics.  No need to use pejoratives if you can support your position.

Having heretical views counter to the established official narrative is thoughcrime and ungood.  Those who fail to bellyfeel the truth of the infallible official othodoxy need to be unpersoned.  <--- where do you think this leads?

We need open two-sided discussions on all of these incredibly important topics without dropping to the ground and slinging mud.

A second jab of Wufluvax takes efficacy up to 80pc. Thais would prefer AZ but no one knows when it is available and how it will be distributed. The reduction of the 40k jabs promised to Pattaya/Chonburi to 20k caused chaos at the stadium where 10k were meant to be administered. They were probably rerouted to the latest prison/ market/factory outbreak in Bangkok but Thais view of officialdom is that once they vote for them all accountability ceases!

As they diligently plan with The Dapper Dr. Yong to give the Thai population the upcoming vaunted Third Covid Vaccine Booster Shot.
All these plans and yet no action for Jabs #1 and #2.  Of course not.  Jabs #1 and #2 are produced at cost for the betterment of humankind in the time of a pandemic.  And as Anutin recently stated, "We have signed a contract with AstraZeneca for at least 61 million doses, not with Siam Bioscience. If Siam Bioscience's plant can't produce the vaccine, it means nothing to us. This is because the purchase agreement clearly stated that AstraZeneca will provide the vaccine, not Siam Bioscience."

Translated:
Let some other country make them.

There we go.  Running cover for SB.  The vaccine manufacturers don't start making profit until Jab #3 is rolled out.  My guess is that Siam Bioscience will be Johnny-on-the-spot when it comes to Jab #3 thus The Dapper Dr. Yong and friends show their unveiled excitement about something that can't possibly occur until next year at the earliest.  But that excitement is palpable.

Beat me to it ...... Thai government reminds me of that fish on the bank last time i was fishing!

They are pushing vaccines when they don't trust them, forcing those entering the country with vaccines to quarantine a full 2 weeks but those there locally are good to go. OMB
