Mahidol University has issued a statement, saying it has nothing to do with claims by product advertisers that extracts from Fingerroot, or Chinese ginger (boesenbergia rotunda), can kill the virus or stop the spread of COVID-19 in humans.

The statement, issued on Tuesday by Professor Dr. Banchong Mahaisavariya, rector of the university, said that the advertisers had referred to research reports, by the university and the Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS), about the efficacy of extracts from Fingerroot (Krachai Khao in Thai) in stopping the spread of the virus.

The statement said that the products being advertised are not produced by the university or TCELS and that they have nothing to do with the marketing or sales of the products, adding that the pictorial portrayal of their researchers in the product advertisements were included without the approval of the university or TCELS.

TW should have read this report before buying the weed yesterday then along with bee honey, lemon and other ingredients, shown on some social media, made up this "witch doctors" brew.

Tried to get me to take some this morning 555555.

Maybe it's just a coincidence but this turned up, for the first time, in the wifes stir-fry last night!

That's fine. Just make sure that if she offers a body scrub that you check what's in the bowl.

Who knows.  If studied it may be found to have some anti-viral activity.  Effective?  Unless studied no one will know.  It might work as a placebo if nothing else.

Think is was same fella that came up with cow dung in India. That took off. Still waiting on test results.

Wouldn't it be funny if cow poop actually prevented Covid?
OMG! What a s***y situation!  LOL.

@Natai Beach - Is this the Thai designed vaccine you were banking on? Or is there another one?
