Travel to Ayutthaya - any restrictions

Featured Replies

Thinking of a short break to Ayutthaya from Pattaya. Before i book a hotel just checking if there are any travel restrictions/roadblocks etc going up highway 7/9? I guess all bars are closed but can i get a meal out somewhere? Thanks

Hello! Me and my friends just came from Ayutthaya yesterday. We went there by train from Hua Lamphong (Bangkok). No restrictions and nothing out of the ordinary just the normal 'self' temperature check, etc.

These restaurants are open which are outside the city proper but highly recommended. There's still the 7-Eleven stores and local food stalls if you want to grab a quick bite.

Some of the temples are closed as well not sure if it's because it's being renovated, less tourists, they changed the time for visiting, etc. We can't speak and understand Thai so as our tuktuk driver who didn't tell us pretty much that the temples were closed.
